Measured on a real, messy collection of 245 songs: tracks ripped from videos without tags, classical works, odd file names. Fully automatic — nobody reviewed anything. And your files stay exactly as they were. One more thing: these figures were measured without AcoustID, before it started listening.

No name, no tags? It listens.
1B Music takes an acoustic fingerprint of the song itself and looks it up in AcoustID, the open music-recognition database. So even a “track01.mp3” with nothing inside can get its real title, artist and cover back.

Privacy at a glance
- No ads, no analytics, no account with us: your library, playlists and listening statistics stay on your device.
- To find covers, details and lyrics, only titles, artist and album names, durations and acoustic fingerprints are sent to music databases such as MusicBrainz — never your audio files. You can limit this to Wi-Fi or turn it off.
- Your servers are contacted only if you add them, and your listens go to Last.fm or ListenBrainz only if you connect your own account.
