1Byte Systems – Licence terms

1. Your licence to use our software

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to install and use our software on devices you own or control. You may not resell, rent or redistribute it, or remove its notices. Open-source components keep their own licences, listed in each app and on our source code page; nothing in these terms limits the rights those licences give you.

2. Standard and Pro editions

The standard edition of each program can be used without paying, with no time limit. A Pro edition adds features on top of the same program and is unlocked with a licence. A Pro licence is for one person: you can use it on up to five of your own computers and phones at the same time. Each licence carries the name and email address of its owner.

3. Licence keys and activation codes

• Keep your licence key to yourself. We may revoke a licence that has been published, shared beyond the limit above, obtained fraudulently or refunded. A revoked licence stops unlocking Pro the next time the app checks for revocations.
• An activation code adds an edition to the 1Byte account that redeems it. Unless it says otherwise, it can be used once, has no cash value and cannot be resold.
• Licences work offline. If our account service is unavailable, licences already activated keep working.

4. Your 1Byte account

You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email (or with Google), so whoever controls your mailbox controls your account: keep it secure. One account per person. You can delete your account at any time from your account page; licences already activated in your apps keep working. How we handle your data is explained in our privacy policy.

5. Purchases and refunds

Pro editions are not on sale on this website yet. When they are, each purchase will be processed by Google Play or by an authorised reseller, whose terms and refund policy will apply, and this page will say so. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

6. Updates and availability

We may improve, change or retire features. We try to keep the account service available, but it may be interrupted for maintenance or outages.

7. Warranty and liability

Our software is provided "as is", to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect losses or for loss of data you did not back up. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, or your rights as a consumer.

8. Changes, law and contact

If these terms change, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date. These terms are governed by Spanish law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence. For any question, write to 1bytesystems@gmail.com.
