Every day is marked high, medium or low confidence, from the spread of the forecast or how far ahead it is. Never a made-up percentage — and you always see when the forecast was updated.

Private by design: what leaves your phone
1B Weather talks only to our own forecast server — and it gets as little as possible.
- No ads, no analytics, no crash reporters and no third-party SDKs that use the network.
- Coordinates leave the phone rounded to a cell of about 2 km: the server never sees where you are exactly.
- The server keeps no logs per request or per user — not your IP address, not your places, not your searches.
- MET Norway gets the forecast request from our server, never from you: it never sees your IP address.
- Approximate location is optional and asked for only when you tap it — never precise, never in the background.
- No account and nothing to sign in to. Your places and settings stay on your phone.

Morning summary
An optional daily notification at the time you choose, with the day's summary for your first place.

Good to know
- 1B Weather is not an official warning service: it does not show official severe weather alerts yet. For safety decisions, follow your national weather service.
- Rain every 5 minutes for the next 90 minutes is available only in the Nordic countries; elsewhere you get the next 12 hours of rain.
- An Internet connection is needed to update the forecast; without one, the app and the widgets show the last saved forecast with its time.
